to Health Care Specialists Ltd., the practice of Randall
Kertz, D.C., chiropractic physician and acupuncturist.
The practice specializes in chiropractic and acupuncture
based solutions to your health care needs, whether long
or short term, utilizing a natural and safe approach.
We are a results driven facility and a patient oriented
practice which is dedicated to giving every patient
the time and attention their condition requires, with
treatment tailored to every patients specific needs.
We are committed to take the time to listen to you and
address your concerns, treating you like the unique
individual that you are.
In dealing with patients on a daily basis, we find that
people are tired of going to a health care provider's
office and enduring long waits only to see the provider
for a short period of time and leaving with their questions
unanswered and their needs unsatisfied. Frequently a
patient is given something to mask their pain or symptoms
with the true cause left improperly diagnosed and improperly
treated. At our facility, we run on time, and you will
leave with your questions answered and treatment options
explained thoroughly and in language you can understand.
Our practice goal is to treat the cause, not mask the
symptoms.
If there is a solution to your health care needs within
the scope of our practice, we will tell you about it,
and if there isn't one we will tell you that as well,
referring you to the appropriate health care provider.
In a typical first office visit the doctor will take
an extensive current and family health history, administer
a comprehensive physical exam including blood pressure
and vital signs, as well as neurological and orthopedic
exams where appropriate. If x-ray or advanced imaging
is considered necessary, you will be referred to the
appropriate facility. Diagnosis and treatment is ordinarily
begun on the first visit unless tests need to be ordered
or medical records obtained.
In
addition to chiropractic and acupuncture, we use physical
therapy modalities such as ultrasound, electric stimulation,
heat and/or cold therapy, incorporate stretching and
home exercises when appropriate, and specialize in soft
tissue work including trigger point therapy, myofascial
release, and massage therapy, administered by the doctor
or a licensed massage therapist. Blood work can be done
on site and is sent to a laboratory for results. A medical
doctor is available on site for consultation if necessary.
We specialize in chronic and acute conditions, pain
management, automobile accidents and work related injuries,
including but not limited to the spine, knees, shoulders,
neck, muscle tightness and soreness, carpal tunnel syndrome,
headaches, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, sports
injuries, musicians injuries, addiction therapies, weight
loss, nutritional advice, and much more.

Randall Kertz, D.C. is the primary physician
at Health Care Specialists, Ltd., and has been practicing
chiropractic and acupuncture at this and other locations
for several years. The current location in Niles is
the primary treatment center, although frequently services
are performed at other venues. Dr. Kertz often treats
musicians for various injuries they may sustain on the
road or locally, and is the on call chiropractor for
the Tweeter Center, House of Blues and other local venues,
and is occasionally called on to go on the road for
short periods of time. His clientele include many local,
national and international acts, some famous, some not.
He is team physician for Health Kick Martial Arts competition
team. He has done extensive work with acupuncture, specializing
in musculoskeletal problems and addiction therapies.
The
practice is conveniently located at the intersection
of Milwaukee and Oakton in Niles, at 8062 N. Milwaukee Ave., 15 minutes from O'hare airport
and approx. 30 min from downtown Chicago.
The office is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.-
6p.m., 9a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday (by appointment please).
